George Miguel Owusu-Ansah

George Miguel is a highly skilled Legal Practitioner with extensive experience in Litigation and Corporate and Commercial Transactional practice. He has a demonstrated commitment to personal development, particularly interested in people management and is currently actively pursuing a career path focused on Risk Management, Corporate Governance, and Regulatory Compliance within the legal sphere.

 

Prior to joining Access Bank, George Miguel was a private legal practitioner with Lawconsortium, a boutique law firm in Accra that offers tailor-made legal services to its variety of clients, where he was a Senior Associate. 

 

George was an Associate at N.Dowuona & Co., and has also worked with AB & David Africa, a pan-African business law firm with independent offices in six (6) countries and a network of firms in 30 African countries, as a Junior Associate where he advised on mergers and acquisitions across various sectors and industries and he also advised and assisted in Dispute Resolution and Employment, corporate and investment, property, government business, infrastructure and public private partnership (PPPs). 

 

He has been part of the legal teams that has conducted due diligence for loan and security transactions, commercial and labour dispute resolution, advised on construction agreements for various multimillion-construction projects in Ghana and acquisitions and perfection of legal interest in property.

 

Earlier in his career, George served as a team member of Corporate Counsel unit of Access Bank in 2013-2015. He was a pupil and associate at Kwaku Kyeremateng & Co. and also served as a Legal and Consular officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration as his service to the nation under the National Service Scheme.

 

Miguel is a product of Asanteman Secondary School, Kumasi, the Faculty of Law, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and the Ghana School of Law, where he was called to the Ghana Bar in 2012.
