Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton

Launched in 2019, the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton programme is a trailblazing initiative under Access Bank’s ‘W’ Initiative, specifically designed to support women in business. This one-of-a-kind programme offers female entrepreneurs across Africa access to finance, world-class business training, and mentoring opportunities aimed at driving business growth. The four-month competition is organized in partnership with Deloitte Ghana, Development Bank Ghana, Nilee Consult, and Africa Skills Hub.


Since its introduction in Ghana, over 100 women entrepreneurs have benefitted from more than GHS 1.5 million in grants, insurance, and business training. This year, more women will have the opportunity to win a share of GHS 350,000 in cash prizes and free business advisory services (Maintain what is on the system)



Stage 1: Online Application

  • Provide accurate personal and business details.
  • Submit a brief description of your business along with business registration Documents.
  • Upload a 60-second pitch video (clear audio, maximum file size: 100MB).
  • Complete your registration.

Stage 2: Business Management Bootcamp

  • The top 50 shortlisted applicants will participate in an intensive business bootcamp.

Stage 3: Final Pitch

  • After the bootcamp, all 50 finalists will pitch their businesses to a jury.

  • Personal Accident Insurance (GHS 20,000)
  • Business Protection Insurance (GHS 100,000)
  • Top 3: GHS 100,000 each
  • 4th place: GHS 10,000
  • 5th place: GHS 10,000
  • 6th place: GHS 10,000
  • MD’s Special Award: GHS 20,000

Women entrepreneurs aged 18 to 45 who: 

  • Reside in Ghana.
  • Own and manage their businesses.
  • Hold at least 50% ownership of their business.
  • Have a registered business that has been operational for at least one year.
  • Operate within the following sectors:
  • Agriculture & Agro-Processing
  • Health
  • Fashion
  • Tourism
  • Education
  • Manufacturing
  • ICT
The top 50 finalists will participate in a four-week Business Management Bootcamp, featuring virtual sessions, practical exercises, and one-on-one coaching. Upon completion, participants will pitch their businesses, incorporating the knowledge and skills gained.
